Marcona, Belona and Antoñeta are the three varieties of this family, the most appreciated from a commercial point of view, as it is unique in its taste and quality. Its typical rounded fruit of exquisite flavor, appearance and quality has excellent properties and organoleptic characteristics to be used as an aperitif (snack) in different forms (toasted, fried, salty, raw, etc.) and for the preparation of marzipan and nougat. high quality.
Guara, Marinada, Vairo and Constantí make up the large family from Asia that has taken root so well in Spain because of its great capacity to withstand drought and offer abundant almond production.
The guara almond has a pleasant sweet flavor and is the undisputed protagonist of emblematic desserts and sweets in Spain.
The grain of this family, composed of the Largueta and Soleta varieties, is of excellent quality and presentation (attractive shape and color), with a predominance of high calibers. It is a highly appreciated variety from a commercial point of view, especially for its aptitude for consumption as toasted or raw almonds. The great ease with which the skin is manually detached once toasted is a highly valued feature that sets it apart from other varieties. It is also highly appreciated in confectionery for its shape and size.
Of French origin, the Lauranne, Ferragnes, Marta and Penta varieties are a family of high quality almonds. These varieties have a semi-hard shell and their grains are narrow and elongated.
The ‘Valencias’ denomination includes traditional and late flowering varieties.
